Dr. Qureshi completed her medical education at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Upon graduation, she received the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award for clinical excellence and compassionate care. She subsequently pursued a fellowship in Endocrinology at Montefiore-Albert Einstein College of Medicine. There, she conducted qualitative research on the epidemic of Type 2 Diabetes in young adults. Dr. Qureshi is thrilled to return to her home state of New Jersey to provide comprehensive endocrine treatment to those who appreciate quality care.
Dr. Schwartz is our medical director. Dr. Schwartz completed his fellowship in Endocrinology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He was the chief of the Endocrinology Department at Englewood Hospital for many years, and is currently the Chief of Endocrinology at Holy Name Medical Center. Dr. Schwartz has over two decades of experience and is rated among New Jersey’s Top Doctors and is consistently counted in the New York Metro area Castle Connolly’s list of Top Doctors.
Dr. Fojas joined Endocrinology Consultants after completing her fellowship at Wexner Medical Center at The Ohio State University. Growing up in the Philippines, she saw many with limited access to good doctors. Dr. Fojas possessed a strong desire to be a doctor. She chose to pursue medicine and focus on the complex, individualized formulas of treating various endocrine diseases.
Dr. Lorton completed her undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating Summa Cum Laude. After college, she worked as a clinical research coordinator at Albert Einstein Hospital for two years before attending medical school at the Thomas Jefferson University, also in Philadelphia. Dr. Lorton completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center. She continued at Montefiore for her fellowship in Endocrinology & Metabolism. During her Endocrinology fellowship, Dr. Lorton worked in Diabetes research.
Dr. George is passionate about Endocrinology and dedicated to providing personalized and high quality care to her patients. She practices general endocrinology with special interest in osteoporosis, thyroid conditions and management of diabetes mellitus with the use of newer technologies.
Dr. Rachel Bier is a compassionate and caring board-certified physician in Endocrinology & Metabolism. She completed her fellowship in Endocrinology at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Bier enjoys seeing all patients and practices as a general endocrinologist. At the same time, Dr. Bier also has a special emphasis on women’s health issues such as Endocrine Conditions in Pregnancy, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), Dysfunctional Ovulation and Amenorrhea (abnormal menses), Infertility, Female Athlete Triad, Weight Management, Menopause and Osteoporosis.
Dr. Suhalia Bakerywala completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the New York Medical College affiliated Westchester Medical Center in New York. Dr. Bakerywala has worked with complex patients in the areas of diabetes management, thyroid cancer and patients suffering from various endocrine abnormalities. She was involved in extensive research projects with the Thyroid Club of New York and The Endocrine Society.
Dr. Talishinskiy completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Rutgers NJMS and Endocrinology fellowship at NYU Winthrop Hospital. As an Endocrinologist and Board certified Obesity Medicine specialist, ‘I am very privileged to build long-term relationships with my patients. My goals are to stay at the forefront of Endocrinology and Medicine and to provide patients with the best and up-to-date care.’
Dr. Shah enjoys general endocrinology with a special interest in thyroid disease. She has experience working with the Veterans Affairs Health System in the realm of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism. Dr. Shah has presented on both general medical and endocrine topics at ACP, ACCE and Endocrine Society. Dr. Shah focuses on conditions including hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism and hormonal output from thyroid conditions.
Dr. Krishnan completed her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and metabolism at Michigan State University. She practices general endocrinology with a special interest in diabetes, thyroid and adrenals. Dr. Krishnan believes in an individualistic approach when it comes to providing care for her patients and thus meeting their needs to improve their health.
Miriam Goldsmith, MS, PA-C, received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Yeshiva University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. After college, Miriam attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) to become a Physician’s Assistant, receiving her Masters of Science. Miriam received her certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Over a decade ago, Miriam brought her passion for patient care to Endocrinology Consultants, P.C. focusing on diabetes management, thyroid diseases, and osteoporosis.
Natasha Greendyk is a Physician Assistant (PA-C) who graduated Magna Cum Laude from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor of Science and then attended Seton Hall University’s Physician Assistant program, graduating with honors. During her years as a PA student, she was instrumental in establishing a global health rotation in the Philippines for PA students and also presented her master’s work at the AAPA conference in Washington, D.C. She has always had a passion for helping people reach their peak health potential, and she found her calling as a team member at Endocrinology Consultants, where she loves teaching people how to make lasting changes in order to achieve better health. In her free time, Natasha also continues to guest lecture on endocrinology topics for the physician assistant students at Seton Hall University.
Laura Caporaso, PA-C completed her undergraduate degree at Rutgers University New Brunswick in Nutrition and Dietetics, graduating Magna Cum Laude. From there, she received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant (M.S.P.A.) at Seton Hall University. Upon graduation, she was inducted into the Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants. She enjoys the field of endocrinology and educating her patients on lifestyle change through nutrition counseling.
Rachel O’Connor, MS, PA-C received her Bachelor of Science from Seton Hall University with a major in Biology. She went on to receive her Master of Science as a Physician Assistant from the School of Health and Medical Sciences at Seton Hall University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She was also the recipient of the Physician Assistant Excellence in Research award for her work in conducting a research study. Throughout her professional program, Rachel worked part-time as a health writer, creating educational blog content to raise public awareness about overall health and wellness. Rachel is an impassioned believer in patient-centered medicine and aims to foster long-term relationships with her patients founded upon empathy, understanding, and clinical excellence.
Stephanie Greenspan. MS, RD, completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland at College Park and continued on to Brooklyn College to complete her dietetic internship and a Masters degree in Nutrition. She brings her background In bariatric surgery experience with overweight diabetes patients, and her caring disposition into helping all patients achieve optimal health through nutrition. She always works in concert with the endocrinologists in the practice to accomplish one’s goals.
Michelle Valentini, RD, CDE, completed her bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Science and Global Health at Cornell University and went on to complete her dietetic internship at Hunter College. With a background in inpatient and outpatient nutrition, she has over 6 years experience specializing in diabetes education and counseling including curriculum development for group classes. Michelle collaborates closely with each patient to develop a holistic, individualized approach to diabetes management, and believes in setting goals that are realistic and sustainable.
Abby Golden graduated from The University of Michigan with a BS in Kinesiology and from Columbia University with an MA in Applied Physiology and Nutrition. Abby continued on with her education at Columbia University graduating with a BSN in Nursing. Abby practices as a Cardiac Nurse, is a Certified Diabetic Educator and a Certified Smoking Cessation Specialist. Abby is committed to helping patients achieve better self-management for Diabetes through improved diet and exercise plans that are both individualized and sustainable. She believes that education is key and therefore works hard to help patients understand their condition for their ultimate success in reaching Diabetic goals.
